Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySYLVIA SIGURVEIG MADDER (INGIMUNDSON) Born in Selkirk, MB, on October 14, 1903, daughter of Sigurdur and Jonina Ingimundson passed away peacefully on October 3, 2004 at West Park Manor Personal Care Home. She will be lovingly remembered by son Carl (Linda), numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She was predeceased by husband C. Leroy; her parents; and brothers, Gus and Carl. She will be especially missed by her niece and namesake Sylvia (Ingimundson) Teachout ("Bunty") of London, ON. Sylvia maintained strong ties to family members in Iceland. Sylvia was active in the community, a longtime member of Young United Church, and of the Order of the Eastern Star, serving twice as Worthy Matron, during which time she made many friends throughout Manitoba. She was generous, capable, adhered to her principles, astute, and a loyal friend and role model for those who knew her. Possessing a wit and sense of humour she loved to tell stories, have a good laugh and held her own in card games. A special thanks to the staff at West Park Manor for their high level of care, love and attention. Appreciation is especially given to friends who faithfully visited Sylvia during her stay in West Park Manor. A funeral service will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapel, 669 Broadway at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 7 with Rev. Noel Bowles officiating. A reception will be held following the service. Interment will take place later that day at Madford Cemetery, Douglas, MB THOMSON Funeral Home - 669 Broadway - 925-1120
